During their time in music, pre-schoolers and kindergarteners are discovering themselves. They learn about their singing voices, how to move their bodies, and their first rhythm: quarter notes!
Through singing the ABC’s, Bingo, and other childhood favorites, students learn the difference between their singing voices, speaking voices, whisper voices, and loud voices. With singing games and listening activities, students learn how to move their bodies to the music. We tap the beat, we march the beat, we skip to the beat, and we dance! Using simple songs and matching visuals, students begin the exciting journey of learning to read rhythms.
