My name is Mary Hillberry.
I am a paraprofessional in Kindergarten/ Pre-k. I have worked with 4 and 5 year old’s for 7 years of my 10 years at Tongass School. I absolutely love the little guys. This is my first year working with Miss Alexis and Mrs. Baldwin and I am excited to get to know them professionally and personally. I have an associates of liberal arts from University of Alaska Southeast. I am continuing my education and hope to enter nursing school in a few years and obtain my RN license.
Outside of school I am a married mother of 2 teens, one of whom is a Rotary exchange student living in Finland and the other is a senior at K-High. I made a decision to move to Ketchikan from Phoenix over 21 years ago and have loved living here. I love to hike and walk with my little dog Ben, whenever the weather permits. I also enjoy swimming, gardening fishing and spending time at my cabin in Moser Bay. If I am sitting still you will usually find a book in my hands as I am an avid reader.
I look forward to seeing all of the familiar faces as well as welcoming all the new ones. I expect to have another great year at TSAS.
