Art In Action-
Weekly Art Lessons with Artist in Residence Loren McCue –
Every student in Tongass School designed and created a wire salmon sculpture as part of a hanging art piece donated to the Southeast Alaska Discovery Center in Ketchikan. The entire piece of roughly 150 fish hangs together to make one large school of fish. The piece is entitled “Wild Alaska Salmon” and was made possible by a grant from Alaska ICE. Beautiful!
A Space Transformed- Thanks to artist in residence, Loren McCue, and Tongass School students, the front of the school welcomes visitors with a joyful display of Thunderbird pride.
