Being There Experiences

Our next Being There Experience is tentatively planned for next week  – Tuesday, April 25, 2017.  I’ll update this page when I find out the details…

We went to City Park for our Being There Experience on January 4, 2017. It was a cold, clear day! We asked students to think about the pools of water and ice formations at the park.  Students brought journals and recorded their observations.

We went to visit a rock pit AND Rotary Beach on Wed., Sept. 28. 11-2 pm.

We took a bus out to the rock pit near Fawn Mt. Elementary School and then walked to Rotary Beach for lunch. This Being There Experience gave us a chance to take a focused look at ROCKS! We learned about the rock cycle and different types of rocks right here in Ketchikan.
